I lay my life moments in points

... and in pictures.
  1. I fell flat on my butt the other day going down the stairs and my right elbow hit the hard concrete. It bruised and swelled up a bit. The picture below didn't show the bruise too well... Ho well... Teah, I always love the Brand New shirt that you gave me last summer.

  2. I have long last finished my 5th year 1st semester exams: Pediatrics, Ophthalmology, Social medicine and Otorhinolaryngology (E.N.T). On time! (Well actually this month I only have to sit for the last two, but the last exam was tough hokay!)

  3. You can never see me studying on the table before. Ever. This was taken during E.N.T study session. See Netter's human anatomy book sprawled front of me. And imagine the neck and back pain that forced me out of my post onto the dreaded study table.

  4. I found a plant sprout in the crevices of the kitchen sink. I find it cute, amidst the dirt and grime of the dirty stainless steel sink.

  5. I can't wait to go to Moscow this 5th February! With good companionship!

Syawal

Selamat Hari Raya! Forgive and forget, kan? Kan.

Finally did my last exam for 4th year Therapy, on the first day of Syawal. I had a short class, went to exam. Hope I pass it, cause I can't bear to think about sitting for it again soon.

On the eve of raya, Jazly and I cooked kuah kacang, ayam rendang, begedil, soto and nasi impit all from scratch. Simple dishes, but it was worth it. Had dinner the next day with Nishan, Darshla and their new lobbymate Zan. Had fun, shared stories, laughed so hard. Seriously, I don't know what to do without friends. Oh, and Icey. Had fun playing against him in scrabble yesterday. I feel good playing against a person who knows how to play scrabble by the rules (unlike some people *uhuk*) And I won! Yay! Good game...

Need to catch up on the curriculum, I haven't done a single summer elective examination because I lost the elective record book and had to get a new one. Have to finish up writing assignment for pediatrics by hand, finish up the summer elective diary log. I have to study up (a storm!) for pediatrics finals this saturday, finish up my atrabotka for E.N.T (because the atrabotka is tough!).. blah blah..

Raya is no fun without family and friends. Family, most important. Without them raya is like any other day. I miss them

Finally tasted the infamous burgers from American Saloon in Green. A wee bit pricey for a burger, but oh well, what to do? That's the only joint which make proper burgers ever sold in Kursk town. Sad, but true. True, and delicious. Yum.

Yesterday night, went out to eat in Tolstyak. Ate their pizzas which I absolutely love...to eat. Strolled along Lenin street in high heels (practicing for Raya function next week .. haha), adoring the night lights of Kursk, cooing starry-eyed at expensive motorcycle totting dudes speed racing from one end of Lenin street to the other *sigh*... I wish the weather would stay this way.

Can you imagine a world without burgers?

The meat from this sandwich is real steak. Nyaaaaaa~ The meat hits the spot. Yeah, the spot right between the crevices of my gums where my wisdom tooth is growing.

New diet plan, out the window. Tsk.

Oh, I received a homemade postcard from Teah, all the way from Singaland
Happy days.

7.7.7

777 . 07'07'07 . 7.7.7
Yes. The number 7 has been considered a lucky number by most of our society, especially gamblers. I don't really believe in superstitions, especially the one involving opening an umbrella indoors and I would open one -- a black one at that -- just to see how my very superstitious father reacts (a very dangerous experiment - do not try this at home --or rather in front of my dad!)

When couples all around the world are getting married or having babies during that particular day, I passed 4/5 of my final examinations. Quite good actually, considering the fact that I rarely pass an exam in one sitting in the past.

And then, the inevitable happened. On this very day that they call auspicious, I had a bad fall in the bathroom whilst getting into the shower cubicle. The evil and diabolical cubicle edge hit my right anterior shin, and left me with a very swollen, edematous, and a very painful contusion. It's warm to the touch. If it wasn't very painful, I would have enjoyed the warmth.

5 days left!

Going to sit for my last exam tomorrow. I was supposed to sit for it on the 27th June but I skipped it. So, I hope for the best.

Lady Luck

Final exams here in Kursk State Medical University are in a form of essay questions. They give you a couple (usually 3) big topics and usually 5 subquestions. And you answer what you know according to the question asked. Each student picks a question card--or as these Russians like to call - variants. Each variants have different questions. One variant always differ from another variant.

Problem with this system is that different topics have different levels of difficulties. Your final mark all depends on your luck.

I can say that when you sit beside a person in the examination hall and you see their variant, you found out that you can easily answer all of them because you quite understand the topic while you get the variant with the tough questions or the topic for which you do not study really well. No matter how a good student you are in class, but when you get a really fucked up variant during the exam and in the end you got a pathetic 2 (or fail) or a measly 3 (average/satisfactory), it really gets on your nerves doesn't it?

I remember back in our school years, we all get the same questions packed in sealed plastic package. That is fair.

Teah: I've decided to go to Singapore before flying back to Russia on the 5th of August. I'll go on the 2nd maybe? I'll have to ask the parental unit though...

EDIT: Ignore last paragraph. Singapore on the 2nd September. Cz I'm flying to Russia on the 5th September. Jeebus, head not working early in the morning!

Back to my studies... *head on desk*
